North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program

“The Opportunity Scholarship Program expands school choice in North Carolina through scholarship grants for eligible children in Kindergarten through 12th grade. This program provides funding of up to $7000 per year for eligible children who choose to attend a participating "non-public school”.  For more information about this state-funded program, as well as when and how to apply, please visit the NC State Education Assistance Authority website.  The new student application opens on Feb. 1, 2024. The Priority Window closes on March 3, 2024. The application will remain open until August 31, 2024, for students to be considered for the full 2024-2025 school year, as funds remain available.

African Ancestry Ministry and Evangelization and Native American Tuition Assistance

Catholic school students (Preschool-12th grade) of African Ancestry and Native American heritage in the Diocese of Raleigh are eligible to apply for tuition assistance beginning February 1, 2024. The assistance awards are funded by parish second collection donations and a grant from the Black and Indian Mission Office founded by the Catholic bishops of the United States. 

• All applicants MUST complete a Catholic school enrollment application and a FACTS Grant & Aid application before this application will be considered.

• Applications are located at https://form.jotform.com/schoolsoffice/2024-25BIMOGrant and open on February 1, 2024, and close on March 10, 2024.

• Decision letters will be emailed to parents no later than May 24, 2024. 

• Tuition awards are sent from the Diocese to the applicant’s school.
