A Message From the Principal

Cardinal Gibbons is the leading Catholic college preparatory school in the state. Our students exemplify faith, service, and leadership both inside and outside the classroom.

Here, our students learn how to advance academically while embracing their God-given talents, passions, and interests. They develop strong leadership skills. They practice productive collaboration. And they discover their impact on the Church and their communities and the world.

Mr. Jeff Bell
Head of School

Cardinal Gibbons High School is a college preparatory, co-educational high school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh. We embrace the mission of Jesus Christ: to form men and women of faith, service, and leadership in Church and community.

Our faith is the foundation of everything we do at Cardinal Gibbons High School. The greatest responsibility we hold is to help our students grow in their relationship with God and recognize God’s presence in everyone they encounter and serve.

A Cardinal Gibbons education inspires students to learn with purpose. Here, students:

  • Discover and pursue their God-given vocations in a caring Catholic environment
  • Grow as creative, discerning, and collaborative agents of their own learning
  • Develop as conscientious members of a global, Catholic community

The co-curricular experience is an integral part of the Gibbons experience. The opportunities provided by our robust co-curricular portfolio are as crucial to our mission as an English paper, a science lab, or a spiritual life retreat.
