Mission

The mission of the Immaculata Catholic School family is to build a community of learning under the patronage of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Relying on Gospel teachings and values, we view learning as a lifelong endeavor to grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, aesthetically, and physically. We commit to live as disciples of Jesus Christ and to be responsible citizens of the world.

Faith

As the parish school of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, we incorporate our faith into daily teachings. Everyone engages in daily prayer and attends weekly Mass and Friday Morning Prayer. Students in Pre-K-Grade 4 participate in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a Montessori approach to religious education. Students in Grades 5-8 take traditional religion classes focused on Scripture, Church history, and those connections to current social issues and daily life. Students perform skits to depict the lives of Saints, re-enact the Nativity and Passion, participate in May Crowning, go to reconciliation, and more.

Academics

Learning in Kindergarten through Grade 2 is small group and hands-on based with a focus on personal growth and developing a strong academic foundation in reading, writing, math, and science. In Grades 3 through 5, students transition from “learning to read” to “reading to learn” which fosters creativity and independence along with vocabulary, analytical, and presentation skills. Middle School instruction develops critical thinking with our AdvancED STEM Certified approach to teaching, which incorporates project-based, collaborative, and cross-curricular learning.

Extracurricular

At Immaculata our extracurricular offerings encourage students to develop their gifts and talents to enhance their creative, social, physical, and spiritual capabilities. Students are offered group activities at Immaculata such as: Art Club, drama, hip hop Dance Club, origami, Arts & Crafts, sewing, Vocal Club, and more. Band and music lessons are offered for Grades 4-5 and middle school. Liturgical Choir is offered for Grades K-8 along with Student Mass Cantor opportunities.
