Since 1954, Our Lady of Lourdes School has provided a faith-based, academically rich education to the families of Raleigh, NC, and surrounding areas. Our current students appreciate that proud history as well as the sense of community that supports them as they are challenged to develop all of their talents—academic, spiritual, artistic and athletic.
Above all, our Catholic faith is at the heart of Our Lady of Lourdes School. This is what sets us apart from other schools and draws us together as a community. Through religious education classes, the religion-based curriculum, opportunities to celebrate the Sacraments, and service to others, we are preparing the leaders of tomorrow. We believe that we are all children of God and are worthy of dignity and respect, and that the values of faith, love, and charity are universal.

Faith
The Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School advantage is reflected in the philosophy that permeates the total education program and the lives of the faculty and students. This philosophy challenges students to improve the world by sharing and living Gospel values and Christ’s message of salvation. Students explore their faith through classes and activities in scripture, sacraments, Church, and morality. OLLS stresses the value of self-discipline and commitment. Faculty and staff are role models who share their faith, talents, and time. While not all students who come to our school are Catholic, we welcome and share our experiences of faith and values.

Extracurricular
At Lourdes, we are committed to the development of the whole student. Extracurricular activities are regarded as an important part of the total learning experience. A variety of choices are offered to reflect the uniqueness of each student, to generate a healthy sense of competition, to create a spirit of cooperation, and to foster both leadership and creativity.
Community service programs are also integral parts of our educational process. Appropriate social activities, under school sponsorship, provide relaxation and creative outlets. Athletics include baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, lacrosse, soccer and volleyball, among others.
