A Message From the Principal

Welcome to St. Ann Catholic School. Located in downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina and adjacent to one of the largest military installations in the United States (50 percent of our students are military dependents), the faculty and staff have been dedicated to providing an affordable, quality Catholic education for over six decades. Committed to a culture of excellence and rigor, our learning community thrives on Gospel values and service to others. Our school motto is "Enter to Learn; Depart to Serve." Students in grades Pre-K-8 are challenged with a curriculum centered on Jesus Christ and the development of the whole child. Founded in 1956, St. Ann Catholic School has a rich history in that it was the first school in our state to be all inclusive, admitting students regardless of ethnicity or religious preference. While that tradition continues after all these years, our identity remains decidedly Catholic and academically excellent.

Your interest in our school is appreciated. Please call us (910-483-3902) or email us (www.stanncatholicschool.net) to schedule a tour or receive additional information.

Mr. Lee Pittman
Principal

Mission

St. Ann is a culturally diverse Catholic school that serves the entire community by promoting academic, spiritual, physical and moral excellence in a safe structured environment. Our students enter to learn and depart to serve.

Faith

The faculty and staff of St. Ann Catholic School are dedicated to the propagation of the faith; therefore, we provide experiences which create a foundation for our students' spiritual journeys. Every school day begins with school-wide prayer shared by student leaders. We attend Mass as a school family each week, and students are actively engaged as altar servers, lectors, choir members and gift bearers. Religion is a part of the curriculum at every grade level, and we prepare students for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion. The school family participates in Reconciliation during Advent and Lent. Faith is first at St. Ann.

Academics

The curriculum offered at St. Ann was adopted by the Diocese of Raleigh and is aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Rigorous and relevant to the 21st century, it is steeped in gospel values. Instruction is delivered by licensed professionals with high expectations for all students. Teaching strategies are differentiated to meet individual student needs. The atmosphere reflects our collective belief that all children can learn. In addition to the core curriculum, all students are enrolled in Spanish, physical education, music and art. Individual academic development is regularly assessed via standardized testing.

Extracurricular

St. Ann Catholic School seeks to educate "the whole child." We recognize students' multiple intelligences and myriad interests. Our extra curricular offerings, therefore, include art, choral music, STEM, band. piano, Battle of the Books, student government/ Junior Beta Club and chess, to name a few.
