Mission
St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School provides a Christ-centered Catholic education, with a focus on academic excellence and the development of the whole person, through our core values of reverence, service, and leadership.
Faith
StMS students are called to live out their faith each and every day. Catholic values and attitudes are integrated into daily lessons in all classrooms. All students experience religious formation daily, including the celebration of all-school Mass every Wednesday. Students attend monthly Adoration and receive Reconciliation twice a year. The
Living Rosary and Living Stations of the Cross are two beloved school traditions and powerful prayers where our students encounter Christ. Every grade also performs community service such as book and clothing drives, always conscious that they do this service as a part of their commitment to their faith.
Academics
StMS students learn and grow in Christ through our challenging, faith-based curriculum. Each Pre-K-Grade 5 classroom has an Instructional Teacher Assistant to help with more individualized attention. StMS also offers two academic support teachers in math and language arts. Purposeful technology integration leads to our academic excellence. StMS has Promethean Boards in all classrooms and provides students in Pre-K & K with 1:1 iPads and Grades 1 – 8 with individual Chromebooks. Students enjoy music, art, PE, and Spanish classes several times per week. Extra-curricular activities, clubs, and athletics are also offered to enhance the curriculum.
Extracurricular
StMS students are encouraged to share their gifts and talents through the many social, athletic, and creative opportunities offered throughout the year. Opportunities range from academic clubs, the school band, any of our 15 athletic teams, elective courses for Grades 7 and 8, and after-school learning and athletic enrichment programs. Elective courses include offerings such as ceramics, choir, drama, STEM, and Student Leadership Academy just to name a few. The StMS Buddy program and our Middle School House system are two more opportunities for students to share their gifts, display StMS core values, and develop meaningful relationships across grade levels.
